Things to Know
CARING FOR YOUR DESSERTS

The customer is responsible for the dessert as soon as it leaves Baked by Jenan's premises. Upon visual inspection of the cake and upon departure from the premises, the customer approves the cake's visual appearance and is responsible for any damages that may occur from there onward. Once you or a designated party has picked up an order and left the premises, it is considered "accepted." Please note that cakes should be placed in a properly air-conditioned, climate-controlled, or weather-proofed environment. Most cakes require temperatures below 70°F. Many desserts are made of perishable ingredients and should be refrigerated unless otherwise specified. Cakes should not be placed in direct sunlight.

Baked by Jenan is not responsible for any damage to baked goods that may or may not occur after delivery, pickup or during transportation.

You will be given instructions on how to carry, transport, and store your cake upon pick up. Keep in mind that cakes are very fragile and damages can happen if not handled properly – such as cracks, smudges, melted frosting, etc. We only give refunds in accordance with refund policies stated below.
ALLERGENS

All clients must acknowledge that Baked by Jenan is NOT an allergen-free, gluten-free, or dairy-free business and that all products may contain or come into contact with items or food products containing dairy, soy, eggs, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, coconut, flour, cocoa, milk, sugar, and/or other allergy causing ingredients. There is NO guarantee of the absence of cross-contamination from allergen causing products. Baked by Jenan is not liable for any adverse reactions to food consumed or other items an individual may come into contact with while eating any of our products. It is the responsibility of the client to inform Baked by Jenan of any allergies before ordering. The client will not hold Baked by Jenan liable for any allergic reactions. The client agrees to inform their guests of these risks.
CONFIRMATION OF ORDER

All sales are final and retainers are non-refundable. Retainers are 50% of the total order and are needed upon confirmation to secure the date and time for your order. No retainer = no order. Remaining payments are made a week to a couple days prior to pickup or delivery. Order preparation will not begin until retainer is made. Payments are accepted through Venmo and Zelle. Full payment is required before your order will be delivered or picked up.
CANCELLATION OR CHANGES

Baked by Jenan cannot provide refunds for any custom made toppers or materials bought after confirmation of order. Baked by Jenan reserves the right to cancel an order at anytime due to unforeseen circumstances on the owner's side. In that case, 100% of the clients order will be refunded.

Due to being a small shop, I can only take on so many orders. If an order is cancelled less than 7 days to the date of pickup or delivery,, any retainer made will not be refunded or transferred. All cancelations and changes are required 7 days prior to the date of pick up or delivery. If canceled at least 7 days prior to the pick up date and time, we will be happy to transfer any payment made on that order to another order within 6 months from that date.
PICKUP OR DELIVERIES

Baked by Jenan is located in Long Island, Nassau County, NY. Due to security reasons, the exact location will be disclosed after non-refundable retainer is paid.

All orders must be picked up within the time frame agreed upon per the client and Baked by Jenan. If the client is late upon picking up their order, Baked by Jenan must be notified. If there is no notice given, a $10 late fee will be incurred and paid prior to handing over the item. We expect you to arrive in a timely manner, just the same as you would expect from me. I have other bookings or deliveries sometimes scheduled around the same time.
